Ringneck Drakes
These earn their name because of the broad, buffy, brown ring around the base of their necks, clearly visible in the picture immediately below. You have to be pretty close to them and have good lighting to see the ring. I have a tendency to call them "ringbills" for obvious reasons.
The picture below, while close, does not show the neck ring. Neither does the top image. Is it any wonder that most people never see it?
