Here are presented 100% crops from frames taken with these two lenses at various f stops on a Canon D60. The full frame from which the crops were taken appears immediately below. The areas appearing as centre and corner crops are shown in red. The images were shot RAW and converted using ACR v2.3, finally being saved as medium quality JPGs for web presentation. No sharpnening was applied.
Note that the "corners" presented are those of a 1.6X crop camera and do not extend to the "true" corners of the lens as they would appear on a 1.3X crop body such as the 1D or a full-frame body such as the 1Ds.
